Sailors and Marines are in the Philippines helping the country recover from Typhoon Haiyan, which hit Nov. 8. But soldiers have also been pitching in during the relief effort after the devastating typhoon. Here Staff Sgt. The Department of Defense reported that 13,000 U.S. service members are helping in the relief effort, spearheaded by Marine Corps Lt. Gen. John E. Wissler.
